Bishopston is in our opinion Bristol’s version of Notting Hill. Bishopston has undergone massive gentrification in the past decade. You only have to visit the thriving Gloucester Road High Street reputedly the longest High Street in the country to appreciate the buzz the area generates. Counting places to buy a coffee is a fun way to walk the length of the road. Homes in the area consist of lovely Victorian and Edwardian Villas and terraces on tree lined roads with attractive parks. It’s like Redland with a more bohemian feel. For the keener eyed amongst you the house in the photo which is typical of the area once starred in the TV series ‘The Young Ones’ as their student digs.
