With many homes in the area boasting a soft sandstone facade Cotham has a distinctly different feel from its close neighbour Redland although it’s sometimes hard to work out where the boundaries are. With more flats than Redland and a younger student orientated vibe not much seems to have changed in Cotham in the past twenty years. Maybe that’s how the locals like it, low key and convenient. Walk down the hill and you’re in the city centre, up the hill and you’re in Clifton at the university. You could of course venture down to the cosmopolitan but still somewhat edgy Stokes Croft or up to the cities hippest zone Gloucester Road.
