Older than Bristol itself Westbury sits on the banks of the River Trym. Okay it’s more of a babbling brook than a river but the area still retains a village feel. It’s a big suburb these days stretching across Falcondale Road along Stoke Lane towards Stoke Bishop and apart from the historic village centre most of the housing stock is 1930’s and attracts a firm family orientated following. That said there are excellent local schools from primary through to secondary following the recent opening of The Bristol Free School. The village itself boasts a vast range of shops, cafes, pubs and Bristol’s only Michelin Starred restaurant.
